The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. If Robert Pirès had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Fabiano Violento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. A collision led to Old BaoBaB Accademy getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Cesare Marcolongo hit a great ball. Emiliano Giusto was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fabiano Violento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabiano Violento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabiano Violento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 38th minute of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Lautaro Mancebo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Old BaoBaB Accademy's Fabiano Violento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Old BaoBaB Accademy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 50th minute of play forced Old BaoBaB Accademy's goalkeeper Fabiano Violento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fabiano Violento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabiano Violento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabiano Violento made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Giusto in the 70th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Old BaoBaB Accademy got a freekick which was hit by Junior Junel. In the 90th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gaona to maneuver through the defense. When Prince Queen came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Old BaoBaB Accademy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prince Queen couldn't finish the play. Old BaoBaB Accademy's Fabiano Violento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Old BaoBaB Accademy from getting a goal against them. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
