Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Colas Valdueza in the 22nd minute of the match. Benedicto Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Colas Valdueza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Colas Valdueza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Innocenzio in the 31st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. From a short distance, C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Pablo Innocenzio, in the 31st minute, tried to place the ball behind Julio Vera, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. Benedicto Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. After 42 played minutes C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Innocenzio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play forced C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's goalkeeper Benedicto Ireno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 46 minutes on the clock, Cristo Karlo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 45 minutes into the game, one of C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Benedicto Ireno went to the wrong direction when Daniel Zorita was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yin Wei Yi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Igor Montes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. A collision led to C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Márk Stephen hit a great ball.
