Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zigrīds Paupers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Siqueira in the 19th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zigrīds Paupers having to interfere. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Zigrīds Paupers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Xoan Huguet came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as BumboTava's Elói Siqueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zigrīds Paupers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes BumboTava's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zigrīds Paupers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by BumboTava's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Zigrīds Paupers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luca Zorita went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xoan Huguet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tabb Bornes in the 53rd minute of play. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zigrīds Paupers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zigrīds Paupers. BumboTava's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 63rd minute Xoan Huguet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, BumboTava's goalkeeper Zigrīds Paupers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vents Ovdaks in the 72nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zigrīds Paupers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Zigrīds Paupers however easily saved by the left post. Zigrīds Paupers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 78th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tabb Bornes in the 82nd minute of the match. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zigrīds Paupers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Zigrīds Paupers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when BumboTava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitālijs Domasēvics didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by BumboTava's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Luca Rouco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BumboTava throughout the match.
