After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Niclas Haström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Niclas Haström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lu Sha Xing in the 10th minute. A collision led to Dulwich Hamlet BK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. John Lundqvist hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Røiland in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, Dulwich Hamlet BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Dembkowski to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Dulwich Hamlet BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Aivo Pärjasaar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Correa in the 21st minute of play forced Dulwich Hamlet BK's goalkeeper Aivo Pärjasaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Magnusson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Sten Røiland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Niclas Haström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 43rd minute. Dulwich Hamlet BK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 48 minutes into the match, Dulwich Hamlet BK's Casado Quintanilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aivo Pärjasaar was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-1. In the 70th minute Niclas Haström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niclas Haström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aivo Pärjasaar having to interfere. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Nordin made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kent Hedlund. When Lu Sha Xing came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Dulwich Hamlet BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lu Sha Xing couldn't finish the play. Venezuela's Jose Correa got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Jose Correa off the ground. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Venezuela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
