Gualterio Loco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play forced Quebrachitos FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Loco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Nuxila might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nestor Nuxila ran back to his position shaking his head. Gualterio Loco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Quebrachitos FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Loco came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Abastas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Quebrachitos FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Atarratze. Gualterio Loco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 37 played minutes Quebrachitos FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Atarratze. In the 38th minute, Luis Andino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualterio Loco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualterio Loco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Gualterio Loco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Gualterio Loco in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Loco saved Quebrachitos FC from getting behind. In the 54th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quebrachitos FC's Gualterio Loco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Quebrachitos FC from getting a goal against them. Agustín Saelices who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Gualterio Loco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Zorita in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gualterio Loco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gualterio Loco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Gualterio Loco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Quebrachitos FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualterio Loco. The Quebrachitos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualterio Loco should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Quebrachitos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Cristian Sancho at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Quebrachitos FC. 0-8. Gualterio Loco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of play forced Quebrachitos FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Loco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Celedonio Gaizkine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebrachitos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Gaizkine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tadeo Mannie's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Tadeo Mannie helped the player get up and apologised. 93 minutes into the match, Quebrachitos FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Loco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. Gualterio Loco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quebrachitos FC.
