Edgard Elssen kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. After 5 played minutes Drafi got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Elssen. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Botasso in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Drafi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanos Kolokithopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Soulis Felegakis came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Drafi getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Claudio Busillo hit a great ball. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Cristian Botasso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Botasso got free with Dante Lacasa in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takis Chatzigiannis in the 29th minute of play. Cristian Botasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolis Ntouvaris having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lorenzo Cazalla the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mexico protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lorenzo Cazalla had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mexico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Mexico:s Dante Lacasa showed great skill when he stopped Boleslaw Kojder:s penalty. In the 40th minute of the match Drafi got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Boleslaw Kojder ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Drafi's corner Boleslaw Kojder fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Manolis Ntouvaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 42nd minute of play. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudio Busillo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Drafi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Busillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Soulis Felegakis to make the kick off. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Manolis Ntouvaris. Drafi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cristian Botasso scored 1-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Drafi made a substitution. Chatziioannou Stavrakos replaced Cristian Botasso. Drafi's Kleon Sgouros was substituted for Carlos Fernando Abraão. Lautaro Mancebo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Facundo Cadaval fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Facundo Cadaval a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manolis Ntouvaris could save by the left post. In the 72nd minute Chatziioannou Stavrakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Drafi's Manolis Ntouvaris got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Drafi getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Manolis Ntouvaris 84 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Soulis Felegakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chatziioannou Stavrakos in the 91st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Drafi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
