Marc Eklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Di Röe's Jens-Ove Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 16th minute of play. In the 26th minute Ragnar Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Di Röe's Marc Eklund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 31st minute, Di Röe's Ragnar Johnsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 33rd match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Rydelius to maneuver through the defense. Albin Emander made in the 39th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jens-Ove Ekberg. Ragnar Johnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. A hard shot 45 in the game by Jens-Ove Ekberg from a close distance when the talented Lautaro Navarro managed to make a qualified save. Honduras's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Ragnar Johnsson made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Espiga to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Johnsson in the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Honduras booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Rydelius didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Ove Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 68th minute of play. Edmundo Espiga in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jens-Ove Åkesson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Albin Emander got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Christian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Jens-Ove Åkesson made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Åke Almqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Åke Almqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Karl-Åke Almqvist hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ragnar Johnsson in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Di Röe players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
