But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. Marco Paixão kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Stig Rødal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 14 played minutes KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A got a freekick which was hit by Marco Paixão. In the 18th minute, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Gianluca Scamacca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Gustaw Fafinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Garrido. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's Gianluca Scamacca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaw Fafinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the game, one of Panama:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A. Teodoro Domeka stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Cotilla. 4-1. Gustaw Fafinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 80th minute of the match. If Stig Rødal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A made a substitution.
