Beat Vid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play. After 9 minutes Aioros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Cristian Sancho managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 11 minutes into the match, Aioros FC's Bento Chandeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aioros FC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anton Axelsson took the corner. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Chandeiro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Aioros FC got a freekick which was hit by Mai Cheng Zhen. A throw-in in the 29th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gisbert with Luis Andino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 31 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Beat Vid came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Aioros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mai Cheng Zhen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bento Chandeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bento Chandeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Beat Vid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Aioros FC's Beat Vid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. Saverio Alcocer hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beat Vid having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Bento Chandeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aioros FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anton Axelsson in the 58th minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Beat Vid made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Axelsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Chandeiro in the 64th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Bento Chandeiro sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Aioros FC made a substitution. Ernest Haaland replaced Bento Chandeiro. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Beat Vid. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Haaland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute of the match Aioros FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anton Axelsson ran over to the corner to take the kick.
