Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 28 minutes into the game, one of Venezuela:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Guará FC's Lachezar Dzhevov got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Guará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelsinho Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nelsinho Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erlingur Haaland in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Harold Willson was slow to take the kick. During this time Guará FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Harold Willson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Guará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Baiano in the 64th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Guará FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Harold Willson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tiago Gabriel Vieira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Baiano in the 78th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Pedro Baiano in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the game, Harold Willson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 96th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense.
