Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Frédson Salgado made the kick off which started today's match. MDS Soccer Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diguinho Romero in the 5th minute. MDS Soccer Club's Diguinho Romero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jacobo Nores in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luiz Fernando da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 7th minute of play. If Silvério das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Paraguay booed when MDS Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 16th minute of play forced MDS Soccer Club's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after MDS Soccer Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Pardo took the corner. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Fernando da Mata in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 32nd minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MDS Soccer Club's Luiz Fernando da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Luiz Fernando da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Paraguay's corner Juan Diego Tenorio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luiz Fernando da Mata quite easily take care of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fernando da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 55 minutes, William Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MDS Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frédson Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério das Neves came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson Salgado in the 85th minute of play. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Paraguay players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
