Cosimo Petrosino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ahmet Reha Tuğalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Reha Tuğalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Chiappini, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Şerif Hataylı was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BursaSpor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Parrots the free kick. 24 minutes into the match, Zafer Özbey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bianco Graziani. F.C. Parrots's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zafer Özbey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cosimo Petrosino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Reha Tuğalp having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Filippini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Reha Tuğalp was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Alvaro Filippini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olcay Orkun Şahan was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Biagio Chiappini made a precise shot to the right of Ahmet Reha Tuğalp. BursaSpor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Biagio Chiappini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Reha Tuğalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Michelini in the 64th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Filippini in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Reha Tuğalp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, BursaSpor's Batıkan Yağızkurt got a free kick in the 67th minute. BursaSpor's Şenol Turan was substituted for Olcay Orkun Şahan. Batıkan Yağızkurt hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71stth minute of the game Biagio Chiappini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BursaSpor's Ahmet Reha Tuğalp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When F.C. Parrots's Alvaro Filippini in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BursaSpor's goalie prevented a goal. Alvaro Filippini made a great header on F.C. Parrots's corner, it was just that BursaSpor's Ahmet Reha Tuğalp managed to reach the ball for a save.
