The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN got a freekick which was hit by Florian Wieloch. Niculae Râmniceanu's late challenge caught a ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niculae Râmniceanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, FC National 1944 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Râmniceanu to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Buda scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Homeag, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute, Lukasz Dubiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Witold Kazczyk might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Homeag. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Witold Kazczyk ran back to his position shaking his head. Doru Zăvoianu's late challenge caught a ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doru Zăvoianu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC National 1944's Doru Zăvoianu got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Witold Kazczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Witold Kazczyks short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Dan Homeag to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paul Balotă's late challenge caught a ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Balotă helped the player get up and apologised. If Paul Balotă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC National 1944's goalkeeper Dan Homeag, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

After having played for 61 minutes, Alfred Buda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Buda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Witold Kazczyk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Buda in the 80th minute of play forced FC National 1944's goalkeeper Dan Homeag to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Alfred Buda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Dan Homeag was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paul Balotă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mieszko Rukszcz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dan Homeag came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN's Witold Kazczyk. But to his dismay, Witold Kazczyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Dan Homeag showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Buda, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. ZZPD GÓRNIK LUBIN walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
