With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Joinvilense in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Germano saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Ronaldo Joinvilense took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Anselmo Sarracino with Rene Luzea as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Fabian Guter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. The referee gave Galo do Japi a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ronaldo Joinvilense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano. 0-2. In the 25th minute Laerte Caca-Rato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Chaves having to interfere. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Joinvilense, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Galo do Japi's Laerte Caca-Rato managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabio Artaldo in the 44 minute of the game. In the 45th minute Ronaldo Joinvilense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Artaldo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galo do Japi were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Luzea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Caca-Rato came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Joinvilense dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Galo do Japi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Laerte Caca-Rato in the 62nd minute. Laerte Caca-Rato made a great header on Galo do Japi's corner, it was just that Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 68th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
