The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bebeto Campidelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hulk Fenomeno went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 8th match minute, Divina Comédia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson Lopes to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute, Genko Balevski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bebeto Campidelis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ivo Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Melquiades Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Amadeu Veloso fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's protests and gave Amadeu Veloso a yellow card for diving instead. Melquiades Amor had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Frederico Varela's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Divina Comédia FC's Frederico Varela got a free kick in the 32nd minute. During the 34th minute of the match Váldson Lopes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Váldson Lopes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Divina Comédia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hulk Fenomeno came free, but Bebeto Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Divina Comédia FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ardwyad Vulcan took the corner. After taking down the ball on CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's corner Ardwyad Vulcan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bebeto Campidelis quite easily take care of the ball. Geraldo Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Bebeto Campidelis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Genko Balevski shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. After some careless play in the Divina Comédia FC defense, Genko Balevski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bebeto Campidelis. The Divina Comédia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bebeto Campidelis should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fabiano Gøl to make the kick off. If Genko Balevski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bebeto Campidelis was a little too slow when Genko Balevski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-6. Luiz Fabiano Gøl struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Melquiades Amor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Divina Comédia FC. In the 71st minute Luiz Fabiano Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genko Balevski in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebeto Campidelis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 77 minutes into the match, Sílvio Dantas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bebeto Campidelis, 0-7. In the 82nd minute, Ivo Lago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Bebeto Campidelis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genko Balevski's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Frederico Varela hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Sílvio Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bebeto Campidelis. That made the score 0-9 after 91 minutes of play.
