Ciprian Eniceicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciprian Eniceicu in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciprian Eniceicu got free with Benito Sanz in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When AC Milan TM's Ciprian Eniceicu in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ciprian Eniceicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Milan TM's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciprian Eniceicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ciprian Eniceicu made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ciprian Eniceicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciprian Eniceicu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Ciprian Eniceicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Eniceicu in the 58th minute of the match. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciprian Eniceicu went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. If Ciprian Eniceicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
