Sosnowiec's Joaquin Gayoso threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabian Resel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 17th minute Fabian Resel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, F.C. Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Zbyszko Andrzejewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zbyszko Andrzejewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Carvallo during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the F.C. Sosnowiec defense, Maximiliano Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zbyszko Andrzejewski. The F.C. Sosnowiec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbyszko Andrzejewski should have stopped the shot. F.C. Sosnowiec's Zbyszko Andrzejewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Sosnowiec from getting a goal against them. After 71 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Ulryk Klejnowski. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Zbyszko Andrzejewski made a huge save. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Resel in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a free kick in the 81st minute. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Resel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Uruguay booed when F.C. Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Kazczyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. A well placed Maximiliano Escribano short distance shot in the 85th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. In the 89th minute, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Sosnowiec's zone, Camilo Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszko Andrzejewski came out of the goal and Camilo Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The F.C. Sosnowiec fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
