Samuel Fiúza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 9th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Paredes. Samuel Fiúza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, one of Colombia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Joaquim Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Samuel Navarro made in the 36th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Santino Seco. Colombia's Orlando Tafalla suffered a sore thigh after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Orlando Tafalla. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Albi Koka got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 43 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Severino Torcato. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the match, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Fiúza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abram Secada made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Santino Seco. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Joaquim Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Joaquim Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Luna's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. The Gremio Viana fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Augustin Panaiteanu made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Carlos Luna immediately put the ball in play. If Carlos Luna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Luna in the 77th minute of play. Samuel Fiúza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Augustin Panaiteanu made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Carlos Luna. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Mariusz Lamczyk got a free kick in the 84th minute. Santino Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Fiúza having to make a save. Kevin Mastache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Samuel Fiúza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santino Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
