Jakob Lundin came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jean-Louis Van Bever could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathijs Rokeloos in the 12th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Bolo Skjold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bolo Skjold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathijs Rokeloos in the 17th minute of the match. Petter Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean-Louis Van Bever read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Michael Näver got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jean-Louis Van Bever quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 23rdth minute of the game Petter Skarkman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Cromvelde's Jean-Louis Van Bever was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Dé 武松 made a precise shot to the right of Bolo Skjold. Protegéerna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Jean-Louis Van Bever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petter Skarkman got free with Jean-Louis Van Bever in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mathijs Rokeloos made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé 武松 in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bolo Skjold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KFC Cromvelde were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Protegéerna's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matthias Wauters took the corner. In the 54th minute, Cosmin Contra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathijs Rokeloos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Bolo Skjold made a huge save. Protegéerna's Bolo Skjold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé 武松 in the 60th minute of play. Bolo Skjold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl-Heinz Kaltz in the 62nd minute. Bolo Skjold was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herman Frans showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 63 minute of play. The Protegéerna supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KFC Cromvelde's performance. The match ended with a win for KFC Cromvelde.
