Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Lucjan Czapski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Lucjan Czapski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Kahn having to interfere. After 14 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliver Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Czarne Mamby defense, Lautaro Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Kahn. The Czarne Mamby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Kahn should have stopped the shot. Teofil Jenkot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofil Jenkot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Lautaro Puig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliver Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Oliver Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Oliver Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Czarne Mamby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Cichewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Czarne Mamby the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! Costa Rica:s Benito Sanz showed great skill when he stopped Borys Golota:s penalty. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
