Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Luis Andino notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of A. Korn's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Agustín Saelices. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind A. Korn's goalkeeper Ubaldo Matildo Fillol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Cristian Sancho sped through A. Korn's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. A throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game was made by Camilo Gisbert with Luis Andino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruben Salvator's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Salvator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Daniel Zorita scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gisbert with Agustín Saelices as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saved A. Korn from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The supporters of A. Korn booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruben Salvator's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-4. A. Korn's Zbigniew Fedosz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Camilo Gisbert in the 68 minute of the game. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute Ruben Salvator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute. Luis Andino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of A. Korn:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. In the 77th minute, the referee gave Ecuador a penalty. Daniel Zorita looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. 82 minutes into the match, A. Korn's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after A. Korn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. The goal made the score 0-6. In the 98th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 99 minutes A. Korn's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A. Korn throughout the match.
