Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Pflügge having to interfere. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Barz in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Covarrubias got a free kick in the 16th minute. A hard shot by Burkhard Seelert from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Joaquin Gayoso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ferdinand Pflügge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferdinand Pflügge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 25 minutes, Ćiro Immobile made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ćiro Immobile in the 29th minute. Caspar Allendorf got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Erwin Jankowsky. 55 minutes into the match, Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Ćiro Immobile sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdülhak Oyhan during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bert Ringelnatz made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Erwin Jankowsky immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
