Isac Muntian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Joshua Curbelo hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Errikos Tsagaris came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Isac Muntian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Nate Drakenborg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 1-0. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Errikos Tsagaris did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ricardo Zorita 19 minutes into the match. If Sune Svartengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Nate Drakenborg could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Ricardo Zorita however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Abram Luque hit a great ball. When Errikos Tsagaris came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Aro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Errikos Tsagaris couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Isac Muntian reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 3-0. With a little luck, El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita got control of the ball when Nate Drakenborg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Errikos Tsagaris in the 39th minute. The corner ended in Errikos Tsagaris almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita did a great save. Harry Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. Ricardo Zorita made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Nate Drakenborg sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jesus Carvallo hit a great ball. Errikos Tsagaris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valentino Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Aro FC got a corner. El Salvador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Errikos Tsagaris ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Aro FC's Errikos Tsagaris to fire away a dangerous shot which Ricardo Zorita despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aro FC's Harry Higuita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Aro FC from getting a goal against them. If Nate Drakenborg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Sune Svartengren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 72 minutes into the game, Aro FC's Sune Svartengren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After some careless play in the El Salvador defense, Isac Muntian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sune Svartengren in the 81st minute of play. Marco Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Aro FC's Nate Drakenborg in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. Sven-Arne Berglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Arne Berglund ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Svartengren came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Sune Svartengren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Sune Svartengren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
