The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Dieguinho Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Bitelon FC - SAF's Wilian Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of play. Wilian Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Bitelon FC - SAF's Wilian Motta got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line.
