F.C.BARLAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. The supporters of Honduras booed when F.C.BARLAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Gheorghiță didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C.BARLAD's goalie prevented a goal. 6 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Niculae Isvoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Valentín Carvallo made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by F.C.BARLAD's Ernest Zburlea. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Isvoreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20th minute, Eric Pârlea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niculae Isvoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Paul Irod managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.BARLAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Irod was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Codruț came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paul Irod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernest Zburlea made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. 43 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Codruț came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Nichifor Codruț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C.BARLAD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nichifor Codruț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dumitru Surdu fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C.BARLAD's protests and gave Dumitru Surdu a yellow card for diving instead. Dumitru Surdu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Nichifor Codruț made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 63 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's Nichifor Codruț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Nichifor Codruț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Nichifor Codruț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nichifor Codruț in the 70th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Irod, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Nichifor Codruț kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Nichifor Codruț sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro.
