Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. If Okanalp Özdil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Okanalp Özdil. After 14 minutes Candelaria FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Danilo Testa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okanalp Özdil, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Okanalp Özdil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute Okanalp Özdil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okanalp Özdil in the 22nd minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, Candelaria FC's Okanalp Özdil made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Okanalp Özdil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 40 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Okanalp Özdil came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After having played for 55 minutes, Arnaldo Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Candelaria FC's Jefferson de Sena took a good shot, in the 59th minute, which hit the crossbar above Jonathan Ferrant's head, and flew over the goal. Venezuela's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Candelaria FC. 65 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Marquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Marquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Candelaria FC's Sven-Olof Sjöberg was substituted for Okanalp Özdil. Sven-Olof Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria FC. In the 71st minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joshua Secada almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Candelaria FC's Danilo Testa did a great save. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Galindo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Sjöberg went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Gustavo Galindo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Olof Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Marciano Lekubegi didn't quite understand what happened when in the 96 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Candelaria FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
