In the 4th minute, Arne Duset hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Magnus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Borrelli in the 12th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessio Borrelli went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the game, UÅ Mästerbotten's Alessio Borrelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Borrelli in the 34th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Magnus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. Karl-Magnus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Karl-Magnus Ekrot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play forced UÅ Mästerbotten's goalkeeper Karl-Magnus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Karl-Magnus Ekrot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernández Fernández made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, UÅ Mästerbotten's Alessio Borrelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Alessio Borrelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UÅ Mästerbotten's Eulalio Xabier was substituted for Hernández Fernández. Karl-Magnus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Borrelli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ecuador's Luis Andino in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UÅ Mästerbotten's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th minute, Alessio Borrelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to UÅ Mästerbotten getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Jan-Erik Friberger hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karl-Magnus Ekrot skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Borrelli in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Karl-Oskar Månsson hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Alessio Borrelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Xabier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 played minutes, UÅ Mästerbotten's Robin Helström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UÅ Mästerbotten reached it.
