In the 11th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Indiano to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Benedykt Perkowski sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Chile booed when Szczakowianka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedykt Perkowski in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Zula Kosiorek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szczakowianka's Zula Kosiorek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 32nd minute of play. Zula Kosiorek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 32nd minute of the match. Chile were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Szczakowianka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Chile's Xavier Figueroa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zula Kosiorek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Radowit Ogrodowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Szczakowianka booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Carballar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Szczakowianka players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Chile's Pedro Indiano to fire away a dangerous shot which Zula Kosiorek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbin Moreaux in the 80th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
