After some careless play in the Szczakowianka defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zula Kosiorek. The Szczakowianka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zula Kosiorek should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedykt Perkowski in the 23rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
