America FC's attack was well implemented in the 8th minute, but when Jonas Dracena was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 10thth minute of the game Jonas Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gildo Furtado. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Dracena's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yuri Lopez went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. America FC had played much better football throughout.
