A sloppy throw-in by Ashraf Hakimi in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Camilo Gaos. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alfons Arvidsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Alfons Arvidsson took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfons Arvidsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 18 minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Arvidsson in the 26th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 5-0. Alfons Arvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After taking down the ball on Daustad's corner Alberigo Mancini fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daustad the free kick. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Arvidsson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Alfons Arvidsson took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. After 43 minutes, Are Rygg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daustad and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Are Rygg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Daustad booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.
51 minutes into the match, Alfons Arvidsson notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 54th minute, Alfons Arvidsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Daustad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. After 60 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Alfons Arvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 65th minute Alfons Arvidsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Alfons Arvidsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Arvidsson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Jo Øverås didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfons Arvidsson's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Daustad fully deserved thier win.
