After having played for 7 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alonso Berganza made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Surahammar's Mark Brovall. Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mark Brovall, made in the 14th minute of the game. Jan Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 19th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Surahammar booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Prats didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Radamel Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Surahammar made a substitution. In the 90thth minute of the game Victor Santxol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Santxol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Surahammar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
