The crowd rose to their feet as Turgut Zor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Luizão Massa made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Dagoberto Sabóia however managed to control. In the 19th minute, Matías de Senna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgut Zor in the 24th minute of play. Clóvis Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Turgut Zor in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Queluzito's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Turgut Zor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dagoberto Sabóia got a throw-in 36 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tiago Gabriel Lopez. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Moreno in the 38th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Turgut Zor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Clóvis Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Turgut Zor to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Turgut Zor's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Queluzito's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Donatello came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Matías de Senna scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clóvis Quirino in the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Turgut Zor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turgut Zor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 76 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. 80 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Turgut Zor came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Queluzito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valério Donatello. That made the score 5-1 in the 83 minute of play. In the 89th minute, Turgut Zor made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Donatello having to interfere. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
