Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gabi Gol took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goianésia E.C's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Balonek came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Gol in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabi Gol got free with Julio Vera in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norbert Balonek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norbert Balonek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Goianésia E.C's Mathias Vidal got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Norbert Balonek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Goianésia E.C getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Attila Kertész hit a great ball. Arrigo De Filippo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Norbert Balonek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dagoberto Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Attila Kertész kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Balonek having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Norbert Balonek made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Goianésia E.C's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Balonek came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabi Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabi Gol took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Norbert Balonek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 65 minute of play. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Balonek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Gabi Gol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Gabi Gol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Norbert Balonek, 1-2. After 83 minutes Goianésia E.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. 85 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Norbert Balonek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. In the 88th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norbert Balonek. Norbert Balonek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. With a little luck, Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gabi Gol came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Goianésia E.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabi Gol couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
