In the 10th minute of the match Rudi Stegeman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. FC Loosers's Emil Alebom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 12th minute of play. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig Ström in the 42nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Kåre Asklund sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz.

Emil Alebom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludwig Ström in the 55th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Kåre Asklund came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Loosers booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 played minutes, FC Loosers's Rudi Stegeman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Loosers reached it. Xande Shevchenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Xande Shevchenko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xande Shevchenko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 13-0. When Xande Shevchenko came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Loosers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xande Shevchenko couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. The FC Loosers fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when FC Loosers's Kåre Asklund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 14-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
