Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Dolmos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Salvador Gisbert fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Denis Dolmos quite easily take care of the ball. In the 12th minute, Patricio Costa had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Meder Fabelo charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Meder Fabelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venezuela made a substitution. Roberto Ocampo replaced Patricio Costa. In the 14th minute, Meder Fabelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eulalio Jago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Roberto Ocampo hit a great ball. Denis Dolmos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 33rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eufemio Yabbarov was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Argentino's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Eulalio Jago. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Josemir Lujambio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Josemir Lujambio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Ennu Krae took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st minute, Ennu Krae fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josemir Lujambio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eulalio Jago. In the 46th play minute Josemir Lujambio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Josemir Lujambio notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Atlético Argentino booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Denis Dolmos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 65 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Josemir Lujambio came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Argentino's J.J Huge was substituted for Joaquín Guzmán. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 95 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Eufemio Yabbarov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Atlético Argentino players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
