In the 9th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aigeus Milionis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Zorita made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Hahay's Aigeus Milionis managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 59th minute of play forced Hahay's goalkeeper Aigeus Milionis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot.
