Camilo Freixa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martín Palermo in the 11th minute. The audience was convinced that Martín Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martín Palermo couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Julio Chicote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolivia and the ZarA A.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ZarA A.C booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Martín Palermo made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 34th match minute, ZarA A.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Balendin to maneuver through the defense. In the 35thth minute of the game Hermelando Bustunzuria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolivia's Camilo Freixa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martín Palermo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gavino Tabor fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZarA A.C's protests and gave Gavino Tabor a yellow card for diving instead. Gavino Tabor kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of ZarA A.C booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Madrid didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hermelando Bustunzuria came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the ZarA A.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermelando Bustunzuria couldn't finish the play. Gavino Tabor, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martín Palermo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of ZarA A.C booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Fontirroig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristobal Felipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Chicote in the 58th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Hermelando Bustunzuria put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Camilo Freixa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martín Palermo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Freixa saved Bolivia from getting behind. Camilo Freixa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martín Palermo in the 70th minute of the match. Hermelando Bustunzuria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Freixa came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by ZarA A.C's Hermelando Bustunzuria. But to his dismay, Hermelando Bustunzuria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Camilo Freixa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martín Palermo went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ZarA A.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martín Palermo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Freixa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benito Madrid during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Benito Madrid. 96 minutes into the match, Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristobal Felipo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
