Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The throw-in from Dario Cinalli in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Camilo Franco. Marian Balint received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Cazalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Dario Cinalli made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Pereyra saved New York Red Bulls from getting behind. Dario Cinalli kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkan Temel in the 29th minute of play. Marian Balints short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berkan Temel's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Dario Cinalli made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Bruno Beldad.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Balint in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. 55 minutes into the game, Marian Balint cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 59th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Marian Balint managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Red Bulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Balint was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Anton Tăutu hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. When New York Red Bulls's Berkan Temel in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st minute, one of Uruguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uruguay. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for New York Red Bulls. Berkan Temel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. 3-0. 78 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Balint came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Berkan Temel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berkan Temel's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berkan Temel in the 90th minute of the match. Doru Coman hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Coman in the 98th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
