Ferdinando Scarinci didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play forced Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Ferdinando Scarinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Velester Football Club's Yin Zhi Wei got a free kick in the 12th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Adriano Carafa scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Betão Camargo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 33 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Velester Football Club's Ferdinando Scarinci. Ferdinando Scarinci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The corner led Velester Football Club's Emanuel Gliga to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ferdinando Scarinci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adriano Carafa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Carafa in the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Carafa in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The corner led to Velester Football Club's Emanuel Gliga getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 60thth minute of the game Adriano Carafa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Velester Football Club made a substitution. Pietro Romeo replaced Betão Camargo. Velester Football Club were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emanuel Gliga took the corner. After 65 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdinando Scarinci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adriano Carafa struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velester Football Club. Velester Football Club's Amos Marchesani was substituted for Antonio Gulli. In the 82nd minute of the match, Cristian Sancho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ferdinando Scarinci saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 85th minute, Adriano Carafa made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdinando Scarinci. Ferdinando Scarinci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Velester Football Club's Adriano Carafa got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
