Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dawid Kochowski in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play forced Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bill Carmichael breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jelmer Lodewijks's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jelmer Lodewijks helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador made a substitution. Diego Mancebo replaced Agustín Saelices. In the 9th match minute, Topsail was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jelmer Lodewijks to maneuver through the defense. When Gilberto Fremont came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Topsail fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Fremont couldn't finish the play. In the 12th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Carmichael having to interfere. Bill Carmichael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 26th minute of the match Jelmer Lodewijks completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jelmer Lodewijks a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Topsail getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jelmer Lodewijks hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Topsail's Bill Carmichael managed to reach the ball for a save. Bill Carmichael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Topsail defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bill Carmichael. The Topsail fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bill Carmichael should have stopped the shot. In the 40th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Fremont, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Bill Carmichael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dawid Kochowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bill Carmichael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Bill Carmichael however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Fremont in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Weets came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Weets in the 79th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Topsail's Christian Weets sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christian Weets hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dawid Kochowski in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Topsail's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Cristian Sancho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Dylan Boegaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Topsail were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
