With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Urbano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils Hellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mino Raiola in the 23rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Mikael Uggstedt made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mino Raiola however managed to control. After having played for 35 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when LA VIOLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Gaffar Kızıl didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in LA VIOLA's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Urbano came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Urbano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Mino Raiola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Hellqvist in the 61st minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, LA VIOLA's Nils Hellqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 65 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mino Raiola came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Qvarnström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 80th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Sérgio Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, LA VIOLA's Konrad Wickander got a free kick in the 86th minute. LA VIOLA's Sérgio Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute of play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
