Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Petre Benga took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Strugure in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4thth minute of the game Lautaro Mancebo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albert Guriță charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Guriță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Nuțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valer Nuțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Facundo Cadaval managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Valer Nuțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Benga in the 20th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Valer Nuțu. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 30 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 38th minute, Claudiu Bosioc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Petre Benga sent off a good shot on target. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Nuțu having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petre Benga in the 47th minute. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Luca Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valer Nuțu. That made the score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Alberto Tafalla succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 60th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 63rd minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Valer Nuțu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudiu Bosioc lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Valer Nuțu made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 70th minute of the match. Valer Nuțu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Mădălin Arjoca came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. With a little luck, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
