The FC Blåvitt fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when FC Blåvitt's Gil Talavera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th match minute, FC Blåvitt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Kielstedt to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Bredberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarl Bredberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Viktor Kielstedt came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the FC Blåvitt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Kielstedt couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Emilian Bâlea put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. 37 minutes into the match, FC Blåvitt's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jarl Bredberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Agustín Saelices quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Talavera, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 91 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Emilian Bâlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
