Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mateo Palacio started the match with the kick off. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Napoleon Jajko having to make a save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Zjem Cię was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Palacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateo Palacio in the 16th minute. Napoleon Jajko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Zjem Cię's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Napoleon Jajko despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zjem Cię's Mateo Palacio in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Zjem Cię's Mateo Palacio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Zjem Cię getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Tolek Wojtyna hit a great ball. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Napoleon Jajko quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 39 minutes into the match, Mateo Palacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateo Palacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Mateo Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Zjem Cię's Ciriaco Emenon was substituted for Tolek Wojtyna. The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Mateo Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Palacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zjem Cię's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Napoleon Jajko, making the score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Napoleon Jajko saved Zjem Cię from getting behind. Mateo Palacio scored 2-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Zjem Cię's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Napoleon Jajko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Napoleon Jajko was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 81 minutes into the match, Zjem Cię's goalkeeper Napoleon Jajko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Mateo Palacio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute Zjem Cię were awarded a corner. Manfred Hönisch went to the cornerflag to take it. Manfred Hönisch made a great header on Zjem Cię's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Mateo Palacio scored 3-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Zjem Cię players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
