Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Average Joes's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Abel came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Victoriano Abel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yavuz Bülent Özger hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Jo Blanchaert took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Martin Morat made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Per Rolandsson. In the 26th minute Per Rolandsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Rolandsson got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd match minute, Average Joes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jo Blanchaert to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Per Rolandsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Matthias Liljeström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Saba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Rolandsson in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Liljeström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Average Joes made a substitution. Filipp Krupatkih replaced Martin Morat. Victoriano Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Bülent Özger in the 73rd minute of play. Mattias Finnman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Average Joes booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Average Joes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattias Finnman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Jeremias Silban made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Average Joes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
