Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Bejgier came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerzy Jestrimski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when RPF Grabarze Olesnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszko Brysz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Szczepan Piczak struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RPF Grabarze Olesnica. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when RPF Grabarze Olesnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witalis Piechocki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klement Bejgier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ebi Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when RPF Grabarze Olesnica's Ebi Smolarek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ebi Smolarek in the 36th minute. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes RPF Grabarze Olesnica got a freekick which was hit by Igor Dziedelonis. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind RPF Grabarze Olesnica's goalkeeper Edward Rydzewski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

After 52 minutes, Fryderyk Awizo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RPF Grabarze Olesnica and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ebi Smolarek went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Klement Bejgier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Carballo during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klement Bejgier in the 76th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 90 minutes into the match, RPF Grabarze Olesnica's Szczepan Piczak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. RPF Grabarze Olesnica's Edward Rydzewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by RPF Grabarze Olesnica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edward Rydzewski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. RPF Grabarze Olesnica had played much better football throughout.
