Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Berganza got the match started through his kick off. In the 11th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hauk Thuen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hauk Thuen was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Cristiano Barbosa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 32nd playminute. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Barbosa went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 47 played minutes Cotinguiba Esporte Clube- got a freekick which was hit by Dirk-Jan Pietersma. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gorka Mendieta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Gorka Mendieta came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Aaron Barrios hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Raimundo Vilela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Vilela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Gorka Mendieta got a free kick in the 59th minute. Hauk Thuen was a little too slow when Abraham Alguacil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 5-1. Cotinguiba Esporte Clube- made a substitution. Leonardo Severo replaced Cristiano Barbosa. After a rather tough play, Panama's Tomas Berganza got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute of the match Almiro Brito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Gorka Mendieta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Severo in the 71st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Gorka Mendieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Cambeiro struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Hauk Thuen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. 95 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Severo came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
