Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haroldo Napier went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Aytaç Sözen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Einar Klysnov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Germán Casado hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Germán Casado's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
