With an all-out effort, FC Bayern München's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jon Bak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jon Bak to make the kick off. In the 68th minute Thomas Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Jon Bak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Jon Bak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Thomas Müller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armin Lucchetta might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armin Lucchetta ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Jon Bak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Jon Bak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armin Lucchetta in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, FC Bayern München's 김 묵 got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 88 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ocampo. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, FC Bayern München's 周松林 got control of the ball when Sebastian Villa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Bayern München fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
